The Shine team designed and animated a graphic main title sequence that articulates which character belongs to which gang. By setting up these character relationships, the sequence is intended to set the tone and help tell a little story.Additionally, the Shine team designed and animated other graphics and typography throughout the film, describing locations and character relationships.
The Harder They Fall is a Western about outlaw Nat Love seeking revenge on his nemesis, Rufus Buck, who murdered his parents. When Buck is freed from prison, Love reunites his gang to track him down. As the two rival gangs clash, the film explores themes of vengeance, loyalty, and justice in a stylish, action-packed narrative.

Typography played a bold role in the film's visuals. Instead of using gritty typography, like most Westerns, The Harder They Fall used clean, bold stylish contemporary typography to define its unique visual voice.
