Shine designed and animated a dynamic graphic video for DreamWorks Animation’s booth at the Licensing Convention at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The seven minute video integrated animated DreamWorks characters with exciting moving typography and branding graphics. The animated collage of characters visually unified DreamWorks Animation’s enormous portfolio of famous animated franchises, both new and old. The animation was designed to work seamlessly across five huge high resolution LED screens.

The Licensing Convention in Las Vegas is a major annual event where brands, entertainment properties, and businesses connect to create licensing partnerships. Industry leaders showcase new products, negotiate deals, and explore trends across various sectors, including entertainment, fashion, and sports. It serves as a hub for innovation, networking, and expanding brand presence globally.

Dreamworks’ vast portfolio of characters

DreamWorks Animation owns literally thousands of characters, including Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey from "Shrek," Alex, Marty, and Gloria from "Madagascar," Po from "Kung Fu Panda," Hiccup and Toothless from "How to Train Your Dragon," and Poppy and Branch from "Trolls". They also own others, including Waldo, Felix the Cat, Lassie, and many, many more.

The Licensing Expo attracts more than 5,000 brands and 16,000 attendees from over 70 countries. Dreamworks as well as other major players like Hasbro, Pokémon, and Coca-Cola participated. It serves as a platform for showcasing new products, spotting industry trends, and conducting face-to-face business meetings​.

The Licensing Expo in Las Vegas is a premier event for the global licensing industry at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Organized by Informa Markets’ Global Licensing Group and sponsored by Licensing International, this expo brings together major brands and potential licensees from around the world to create new business opportunities in brand licensing and IP extension.

The theme for the Licensing Expo was "Brands at Play," which emphasizes the role of play in fostering creativity and innovation in brand building. The event will feature immersive brand experiences, educational content, and networking spaces tailored to facilitate connections between brand owners, licensees, and retailers​.
