From NBA star Kevin Durant, filmmaker Reggie Rock Bythewood, and the team behind Friday Night Lights: a basketball prodigy must navigate a maze of pressure if he’s going to overcome the odds against him and learn what it truly means to have Swagger.

Lisa Whittington, acclaimed fine artist, designed and conceived of imaginative paintings for the main title sequence for Swagger, and the Shine team was honored to be tasked with bringing her amazing imagery to life with painterly graphic animation.

Each image, a slice of life image depicting the world of the characters in Swagger, was animated by the Shine team using a variety of animation techniques ranging from ProCreate on an iPad to 3D animated scenes in Cinema4D. Working with Lisa Whittington was an amazing experience for the whole Shine team. Each image came from Lisa’s imagination, yielding emotional, original, dramatic and cinematic tableaus that were a true pleasure to work with in animation.
